LAIDUG depends heavily on Sponsors to provide presenters, raffle prizes, venues, cash donations or maybe several of these for a major event.
Presenters
The women and men who present at LAIDUG meetings are sometimes representatives of companies that make program-related add-ons. Some topics are on how to use the program. Other presentations are on topics of interest to InDesign users, such as sister Adobe applications or more general design-related information and discussions.
Raffle Sponsors
The group is financed almost entirely through the sale of raffle tickets for donated prizes. Some companies donate a prize just once during the year. Others do it on a regular basis. All vendors who donate a prize are publicized to the membership. Donating a prize is a quick and easy way to bring visibility to your product or service.
Occasionally, companies that don’t have a product or service appropriate for raffle—but still want to help—will purchase a prize especially for us to raffle. These prizes have ranged from concert tickets to coffee table books to consumer electronics to new cars.
Discounts
A popular way for companies to connect with LAIDUG members is by offering member-only discounts for products and services. Discounts are an easy and excellent way to develop an ongoing relationship with members of the organization.
Major Events
If you’d like to sponsor a major event, either online or in-person, branding opportunities are available.
